Community operations and administration, staff work, rules and procedures — the day-to-day of keeping a community running.
Community owners and development teams. Player feedback became requirements, and requirements became conversations with the people writing the code.
Operational problems, escalations and the systems underneath the community — someone had to understand how they actually worked.

Communities need systems. Systems need infrastructure. Infrastructure needs automation. DevOps.

Community operations led into infrastructure. Today the work is AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and automation.
Cloud tooling
Self-directed learning project
A Python command-line tool for managing AWS resources — EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances, S3 (Simple Storage Service) buckets and Route 53 DNS records — through one interface built on Boto3, applying ownership and project tags plus restrictions to everything it creates.
IaC — Infrastructure as Code
Self-directed learning project
An AWS environment defined with Terraform: a VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) with a public subnet and a second database subnet, EC2, security groups, a database subnet group, RDS (Relational Database Service) and S3 — all described as code.

Container orchestration
Hands-on workshop project
WordPress and MariaDB deployed on Kubernetes with Helm, running behind an NGINX Ingress on Minikube, with Prometheus and Grafana providing monitoring.

Product I founded and develop
A building operations and maintenance SaaS covering buildings, floors, rooms and areas, equipment and critical systems, service calls, contractors, tenants, guards, reporting, permissions and billing — built and operated end to end.

Red Hat training covering Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administration.
Current
SetOps — Building Operations & Maintenance SaaS
Building and operating a building operations and maintenance platform end to end — product, back end, front end, infrastructure and monitoring.
Ongoing
Self-directed · Red Hat training
Cloud, Linux, automation and infrastructure work built through Red Hat training, hands-on labs and self-directed projects rather than an employment record.
Gaming communities — FiveM, Garry's Mod, ARMA 3, Counter-Strike, Discord
Years of community operations and administration across gaming platforms — staff leadership, working with community owners, and advising the development teams building those platforms.

People. Platforms. Infrastructure.
I spent years working in gaming communities — community operations and administration, staff leadership, and working directly with community owners and the development teams building the platforms. Translating community needs and player feedback into clear requirements, testing changes and solving operational problems pulled me toward the systems underneath, and that led into DevOps. I now work with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and Linux through Red Hat training, hands-on labs and self-directed infrastructure projects, and I build and run SetOps, a building operations and maintenance product, end to end.
Available for DevOps, Cloud, Platform Engineering and Technical Operations opportunities.
